“Have you seen my stapler” Is a classic line in American Cinema. This movie that talks tongue and cheek about the modern workplace. It follows the life of Peter Gibbons a worker that is a little more than disillusioned with the workplace. Through a series of escapades he finds himself promoted. This movie more clearly outlines what not to do in running your business.
As I looked back at the movie to start this show, I determined that I could do 10 shows on this film, but for this one, I took two key Leadership Lessons from it.
- 1.) As a leader, to accomplish your goals you have to focus on the benefits of the results for your people.
- 2.) People follow leaders that they respect and trust.
Like I said before, this film is filled with a ton of examples of what not to do. How not to gain respect and how not to grow your business, I think that is why it is such a powerful movie for so many in the corporate world.
Websites for your benefit.
